Internship

Do you see your future in designing and implementing multimedia spaces and interactive exhibits in an interdisciplinary field? We invite you to become part of our team and support us as an intern in turning ideas into working prototypes, exploring new technologies, designing creative graphics and real-time animations and implementing them in ongoing projects.

We are aware that our work covers a wide interdisciplinary range. Within our pipelines, there is therefore plenty of room for your individual place and we are happy to enter into a dialog with you about your interests. Previous experience, for example in the common Adobe programs, Blender, vvvv and Webtechnologies is an advantage and what you don’t know yet, you will learn with us.

Location: Vienna or Berlin
Next start: February 2026
Duration: Full-time, 4-6 months

Possible areas of responsibility

• Idea & concept development for interactive experiences & installations
• Production assistance: Support in the planning and organization of our projects
• Graphics, motion, sound and interaction design: designing multi-sensory interactions, from wireframe to real-time animation
• Prototyping & Development: Creation of mockups in various tools and programming of applications with vvvv and/or web technologies

Your profile

• Compulsory internship as part of your current studies or training in computer science, interaction design, media art or similar.
• First experience in creative coding, animation, game engines or web development
• A feel for design, storytelling and technical feasibility
• Independent, experimental and inquisitive approach
• Ability to work in a team and structured remote working method
• Travel and assignments at production sites are no problem for you
• Very good knowledge of German or English

About 3e8

3e8 is a Viennese studio for digital art, interactive installations and productions with creative technologies with offices in Vienna and Berlin. With a strong focus on user experience and emotional storytelling, we design and develop projects for exhibitions, at events, in public spaces and on the web. In addition to commissioned work with and for curators, agencies, institutes and the public sector, as a media-artistic group we also pursue our own ideas in audiovisual performances, data visualizations and political activism.
