Channel:me

Channel:me explores the performative construction of identity in the sense of Judith Butler’s concept of performativity: the self is not understood as something fixed, but emerges continuously through actions, gestures, and social interactions. The film functions as a metaphor for the fragmented and media-shaped self-perception of the digital age: an in-between space in which the self is simultaneously actor, observer, and image.

Anna is a German multidisciplinary designer and creative practitioner. She completed her Master of Arts in Interaction Design at UAL where she developed projects that engage audiences in thought-provoking ways while exploring the intersection of technology, design and society through installations and artefacts. During her internship with us, she developed Channel:me, a new artistic practice that explores embodiment in relation to technology through the use of CRT TVs as a medium.
